Creating Knowledge : To create and manage existing and new knowledge for management of alcohol-related problems in Thailand.
Creating People :To build the capacity of academics within and outside of the organization and other stakeholders.
Creating Networks : To improve the strength of the stakeholders in alcohol control in Thailand.
Creating Society : To increase awareness and participation of all sectors in society in alcohol control.
Objectives of the Centre for Alcohol Studies
To generate knowledge on demand, supply, impact, measures, and policies related to alcohol.
To promote dissemination of knowledge on demand, supply, impact, measures, and policies related to alcohol to partner organizations and the public, and to apply such knowledge in alcohol policy and social mobilization in Thailand.
To build the technical capacity of partner networks and society in alcohol control in Thailand.
Scope of Work
Centre for Alcohol Studies works in areas related to prevention, control, and management of alcohol-related problems in terms of biomedical science, public health, and social sciences to support capacity building of network partners, advocate for policies, and mobilize the society.
